The Journey of Soak Rochford

Find out how it started vs how it’s going…

Soak Rochford was created in 2018 what was supposed to be a relaxing bath time turned into a disaster.

The founder of Soak, Jay Rochford, had used a seaweed bath bomb which completely stained the tub and left disgusting debris behind that had to be scooped out. It was then that Jay had an idea that would go on to help thousands of cosmetic creators create high-quality bath products that their customers would love.

The Journey of Soak Rochford

Soak Rochford was born in a shed at the bottom of Jay’s garden. Without knowing exactly how much space would be needed for the business, this was the most sensible option. However, the business soon outgrew the shed.

Jay then made the decision to make their chicken coop building two-thirds smaller so that the extra space could be utilised for Soak Rochford.

This small change wasn’t enough to keep up with Soak Rochford’s growth! The next upgrade came in the form of a 40-foot shipping container that was brought into the garden. This seemed like it would be enough to handle Soak’s growing business, but soon a larger home was needed.

The time had come for Soak to leave Jay’s home and go out into the real world on its own… King Street Industrial Estate welcomed its newest resident and Soak Rochford moved into Unit 18.

Soak didn’t stop there. Because the business kept growing, another unit had to be taken on. Soak expanded even further and took on the second building which is Unit 3B, Soak’s current home.

It’s an incredible feeling to look back on Soak Rochford’s progress as it’s easy to forget just how far the business has come. None of this would be possible without our wonderful staff and our incredibly talented, loyal and supportive Soakies.

All we’ll say is that if you believe in yourself and your business, there’s no stopping you!
