Top Tips for Creating in Summer

5 pieces of advice for tackling the warmer months head on

Although it feels like summer took a long time to come this year, here are five pieces of advice for battling high temperatures and sunshine as a cosmetic creator.

Get a Dehumidifier

During the humid months, you’ll need a dehumidifier to remove excess water from the air to save your creations from their worst enemy – moisture!

Although rain is considered to be the most difficult weather to work with as a cosmetic creator, these issues can also be prevalent in humid weather.

Use Bright Colours

As the sun begins to show its face, most of us naturally gravitate towards brighter and bolder colours, so make sure that you’re representing these intentions in your cosmetic creations.

Transport your customers to the holiday destination they’re no doubt dreaming of and add those tropical shades of orange, yellow and pink into your designs.

Try Some Fresh Fragrances

We have so many fragrances to choose from, we just know that you’re going to find some that you love! For the summer months, there are several that are just perfect for those few months of the year.

Coco Mango is an exotic fragrance that will make you feel summery in no time! Refreshingly sweet, it reminds us of cocktails on the beach.

Totally Tropical is a fun, fruity fragrance which reminds us of a well-known pineapple and grapefruit soft drink. It’s a refreshing yet sweet fragrance with a fizzy sherbet-like scent to it.

Consider Moving Away from Baths

Of course, throughout the summer months, people have fewer baths.

So, think about making fewer bath bombs and creating more products that can be used in the shower such as liquid and whipped soap.

Attend Local Fairs

The beautiful weather makes all of us want to get outside. So, take a look at your local council’s website and see if there are any upcoming fairs or events that allow you to showcase your products.
