How to Package Your Products

Stuck on how to send out your creations? Let us help!

You’ve worked incredibly hard on making your products look just right because you’re a perfectionist. So, when you’re finally happy with them, it’s time to send them off.

Now comes the packaging decision. How will you present your product so that it gets to your customer in one piece? Read on to find out our advice!

Cellophane Bags

These are a really quick and easy way to package your product, they’re also transparent so your customer can instantly through to your beautiful creation. These are particularly good for products that aren’t super fragile, for example, bubble scoops.

Some companies offer a biodegradable option, or you could opt for the more eco-friendly choice of glassine bags, however, these are opaque.

Shrink Wrap

This is one of the most popular options as you tend to get a lot of value for money with this. Although it’s not the most sustainable choice, it does allow you to safely package your delicate bath bombs and keep your design in perfect condition as it travels, therefore avoiding any chipped edges or smudged paintwork.

Most shrink wraps can be used with a hairdryer, but occasionally a heat gun might have to be purchased to ramp up the effectiveness.

Plastic Muffin Cases

Or any type of case, such as a mooncake box or a plastic cupcake holder with a lid. This will give your design a high-quality, elegant feel. They’re also really easy for your customers to get the product out of without breaking it!

These will only really work for more spherical designs due to their shape, such as bubble scoops or rounded bombs.

Plastic Tubs

Although these could potentially be expensive, they’re pretty much the only option for malleable substances such as whipped soap, body butter and body scrub.

You could manage the cost by buying in bulk or choosing more basic options, as you can also opt for brighter, personalised tubs but these will come with a higher price tag.
