How to Remain Motivated

Here are 5 ways to keep morale up when your motivation has dipped

When running your own business, it can be hard to remain enthusiastic, confident and motivated all of the time.

However, it’s really important to be able to get up and dust yourself off when you feel this way so that you can carry on being the boss babe you are. Here are our top tips on getting yourself back in the right frame of mind.

1. Keep a list of your wins

Write down all of your wins, no matter how small. Then, you can look back at all of your achievements when you’re feeling uninspired. Whether it’s reaching 100 followers on Instagram or receiving more than 10 orders in a week, you need to remember how far you’ve come so that you can refocus where you want to go.

2. Look back over your reviews

Although you might not be feeling great about yourself, your past customers’ kind words will be sure to give you the boost you need. Whether you collect yours on Google, Facebook or Etsy, your reviews will give your ego a well-deserved stroke.

3. Have a break from social media

Social media is brilliant for brand awareness, connecting with your customers and building a supportive community. However, it’s important to remember that social media is everyone’s highlight reel and people only share their best selves. If you find yourself feeling jealous and competitive, take a step back from the digital world.

4. Research your heroes

The course to success never runs smooth and there will always be a few bumps in the road. Although it’s very easy to believe that no one else is suffering, everyone has their own issues. Spend some time reading about your heroes and the struggles they’ve previously experienced. For example, JK Rowling was rejected twelve times before Harry Potter was published.
