We’ve compiled a list of five things that will be sure to make your life easier in one way or another. So, whether organisation is your downfall or you’re just looking for something to make your creative process easier, there’s something on this list for you.

We’ve arranged this list from cheapest to most expensive so that you can shop according to your budget.

1. Pokey Stick – From £2.00
   

Our pokey stick is a much-loved part of our Soakies tool kits.

This 19cm metal stirrer is ideal for your creative process, as it can be used for a variety of uses, but it also saves you from having to purchase disposable wooden skewers. 

The flat end can be used as a scoop for dyes, whilst the main purpose of the stirrer can incorporate oils, colours, fragrances etc into your creations to mix them together and to create beautiful designs in your products. The ball end can also be used to tap moulds to release your mixture.

2. Wall Planner – From £12.95

This is one of the best pieces of stationary, especially if you struggle with being disorganised. 

We’d recommend purchasing a monthly wall planner. A yearly one can be overwhelming and the space ends up being too small to write anything worthwhile, a weekly one doesn’t give you enough of a range to get ahead. 

Fill in your monthly calendar with important dates such as craft fairs, when you need to order stock, when specific orders need to be sent out etc. You could also use it to keep a track of your website and social media, so you can make notes of product launch dates and promotions.

3. Make Your Own Kits – From £19.99

This is one for the whole family! Our Make Your Own kits are a great way to keep little ones entertained over the Christmas holidays. They’re also a great way for you to relax and unwind, so that you can keep your creative juices flowing while still having a well-earned break from your own business.

4. Shelving Units – From £22.99

Even if you don’t have your own dedicated creative area, shelving units are a great way to keep your house tidy. Use a couple of shelves for your tools and ingredients (purchase extra boxes with labels to take your organisation to the next level!) and use the rest for your finished products. 

This will hopefully alleviate the stress of having to look for something in particular or having to try and hunt down a customer’s order! 

5. Dehumidifier – From £150.00

Now this is something that our Soakies absolutely swear by when creating bath bombs. They’re used to try and win the age-old fight between Soakies and humidity!

Make sure you purchase a dehumidifier that will be big enough to remove the moisture from your room efficiently. If you try and scrimp and save on a smaller product, you might end up having to buy another one anyway. Read the finer details of the machine to make sure that it’s recommended for what you need!
