Advice for growing awareness and conversions of your cosmetic creations
Are you looking to expand your product range, customer base and time spent working? Then let us provide you with some inspiration on how you can promote your brand.
So, if you’re ready to transform your part-time hobby into a full-time business, here are five ways you can grow the awareness surrounding your products.

1) Use Social Media
Create dedicated business profiles for your brand that clearly explain who you are and the products you have to offer. Make sure to clearly highlight any USPs (Unique Selling Points) you have, as well as any promotional offers, to remain competitive.
Only use the platforms you believe your customers will be on so that you don’t stretch yourself too thin as you’ll end up feeling overwhelmed right away. Start off posting a few times a week and utilise all of the platform’s features e.g. stories, shopping.
2) Consider an Advertising Budget
This refers to both print and digital advertising. For print, look at local newsletters and consider sharing an attention-grabbing advert to reach members of your community. Alternatively, boost one of your social media boosts to reach a wider audience digitally.
Your budget doesn’t have to be a huge amount, but it should be significant enough to warrant seeing returns from it.
3) Optimise Your Website
SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) has come a long way since the days of shoehorning the same word into your writing over and over again and hoping for the best.
Now, search engines crawl your website like a human would, looking for the most helpful, informative and easy-to-digest pieces of content.
Blogs are a great way to show search engines how useful your website is for potential visitors. Share a range of blog topics relevant to your business and really delve deep into your knowledge, expertise and advice surrounding them.
4) Create a Google My Business Profile
This is a free profile that gives you more real estate on search pages when someone is looking for either your business or one similar to yours on Google.
It allows you to provide details and photos of your business, including your location, services, and products. Creating this free profile is a great way to increase your visibility and awareness.
5) Attend a Craft Fair
This one always sounds scary at first, but once you’ve done one they become much less daunting and can actually be quite fun!
Practice will make perfect when it comes to which products to take, how to display them and what your sales pitch should cover. You might also meet some like-minded individuals to connect with.
