5 Tips on Coping With the Heat as a Cosmetic Creator

Advice on how to tackle the upcoming summer months

Cosmetic creating is a tricky process that requires a range of optimal environments in order to make a decent product. And although humidity is often a bath bomb-maker’s worst nightmare, the heat can also be really difficult for maintaining focus and motivation.

So, as the temperatures begin to rise, it might be about time to make some adjustments to your creative process. Here are some top tips for creating in the heat from us:

  1. If you need to melt something, do it first thing in the morning before the temperatures have started to climb. This will give your area time to cool before the hottest part of the day.
  2. Check the weather forecast ahead of time so that you don’t plan to do the impossible and then feel guilty for not achieving it.
  3. Keep a full water bottle on your station at all times to remain hydrated. Note we said WATER, not coffee!
  4. Set up an efficient work station that is equipped with fans and plenty of room to move around. This will keep you cool, calm and collected even as the heat threatens to send you off the rails.
  5. Remember to take time for yourself! If you want to take some time to sit in the garden or have a water fight with your kids, then do it. It’s your summer too and you definitely deserve a break.
