Get the consistency of your liquid soap right every time with these top tips
Creating liquid soap with the perfect consistency is a skill that cosmetic creators can find difficult. However, if you’re looking to introduce these products to your range, it’s one you have to master.
Here are our top tips on how to nail it every time.

Understand the Ingredients
Knowing your ingredients is crucial. The primary ingredients have to be precisely measured as even the smallest change in contents can contribute differently to the overall consistency and lather of the soap
Proper Mixing
Mixing is an underrated step in creating the perfect consistency. Slowly add the ingredients together and continue stirring until the mixture has a smooth appearance. Once all the ingredients have been mixed together, you could even use a stick blender to achieve a luxurious, silky consistency.
Get the Temperatures Right
For hot process liquid soap, cook the mixture until it reaches a gel-like consistency. This may take a couple of hours, but patience is key. Stir and check the mixture regularly until you reach your desired consistency.
Dilution
After the soap paste is ready, dilution is necessary. Add distilled water slowly and mix thoroughly until the desired consistency is achieved. Be mindful not to add too much water at once, as it can make the soap too runny.
