We have a lot of super-mums in our midst but we know how easy it can be to put pressure on yourself during the holidays…
Feeling guilty as a parent during the summer holidays is not uncommon, especially when you’re juggling work responsibilities and trying to make sure your children have a fun break.
However, you’re doing an amazing job! And here are five things you definitely shouldn’t feel guilty about during the next few weeks.

Not Having Activities Planned
It’s impossible to have an activity planned for every second of the day so don’t feel guilty for plonking the kids down in front of the TV for a little while!
Your kids just want to spend quality time with you, even if that’s just a walk to the park or sitting in the garden, it doesn’t have to be anything major.
Needing Alone Time
Your entire routine has been disrupted, so it’s not unusual for you to need some space to have a breather and gather your thoughts. Consider having a bath or going for a walk around the block to have half an hour to yourself.
Putting Your Business on the Backburner
Although you’re a full-time cosmetic creator, you’re also a full-time parent. With your kids needing your attention, your business might need to be your second priority for a little while and that’s ok! It will be there when you have time to pick it back up again.
Needing to Vent
Everyone needs to have a safe space to express their feelings. Catching up with a friend or family member to chat about anything and everything will make you feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.
Looking Forward to Term Time
You might feel bad about counting down the days until school starts again but best believe, a vast majority of the other parents you see at the school gates will be feeling the exact same way.
