UK/EU Restrictions at time of listing: Not Suitable for use in Lip Products
Rates of usage are dependent on your assessments, and personal preference, but please use the below as a good starting point:
- Clear Melt and Pour- 0.25% – 0.5%
- Opaque Melt and Pour Bases- 1.5% – 2%
- Cold Process Soap- 1.0% – 5%
Micas can also be used to colour all types of wax, but are not suggested for non display candles, as the mica particles may block wicks and extinguish the flame.
Micas can also be painted onto soaps, or used with soap stamps.
If you mix the Mica powder with alcohol, you can also paint beautiful details onto bath bombs. We would suggest the use of Polysorbate 80 in your recipe, to help disperse the pigment and avoid mica lines around the tub.

A gorgeous mica that I haven’t seen before. I used it to create a sea water pattern with Neptune Blue and extraterrestrial green. It turned out perfect. All colours I have used so far from Rochford supplies outstanding and colours really pop when curing. A little goes a long way.
