Read this blog before it’s time to remove your creations as an extra precaution
Releasing your bath bomb from the mould can be one of the trickiest parts of the process, especially when you’re just starting out. Because after all the effort of making the perfect mixture, the last thing you want is a broken bath bomb.
Luckily, with a few simple tips, you can release your bath bombs with ease and get those satisfying, smooth designs every time.

Let the Bath Bomb Rest in the Mould
Before you even think about removing the bath bomb, let it rest in the mould for a few minutes. This helps the mixture firm up and hold its shape, making it easier to release.
Some creators even leave their bath bombs in the mould for longer, even overnight depending on the design, to ensure they don’t fall apart.
Tap the Mould Gently
Once your bath bomb has had time to set, give the mould a gentle tap with a pokey stick.
This helps to loosen the mixture inside, making it easier to remove without breaking or cracking.
Carefully Remove One Side
Start by removing just one side of the mould. Hold it gently and slowly lift the top half away, allowing gravity to do most of the work.
If it doesn’t come off easily, give it another gentle tap or leave it for a little longer to set further.
Release the Second Half
Now for the final release! Carefully flip the bath bomb onto your hand or a soft surface, then remove the second half of the mould.
Again, if it feels a bit stuck, give it a light tap. Avoid twisting or forcing it out as this could crack your bath bomb.
Let It Cure
Once out of the mould, place your bath bomb in a dry spot and allow it to cure for 24 to 48 hours.
This will harden it completely, ensuring it’s ready for the bath without crumbling.
