Small changes that make a big difference to your workspace
Being a cosmetic creator of home, bath and body products, means that a little bit of mess is unavoidable. But that mess becomes an issue when it doesn’t seem to go away after your creations are finished.
The good news is that you don’t need to do a complete studio overhaul to feel more in control. A few simple tweaks can turn your space from chaos to ✨ organised chaos ✨
Start with a stock take 📋
Before buying another storage box, take a proper look at what you already have. Be honest with yourself about what you actually use and what’s just taking up space.

Store by product type 🖌️
One of the easiest wins is grouping things by product. Keep all your bath bomb ingredients, moulds, colours and tools together. Do the same for soaps, wax, packaging, labels, and so on.
This saves time, reduces mess, and stops you from buying things you already own just because you can’t find them.
Use your space vertically ⬆️
Floor space is precious, especially if you’re working from home. Vertical shelving, racking units, and wall-mounted storage can completely change how your workspace feels.
Under-desk drawers are another underrated option. They’re perfect for tools, gloves, piping bags, and the bits you reach for daily but don’t want cluttering your surface.
Get organised with labels 🏷️
If you regularly forget where things live, a label maker is your best friend. Clear labels mean you’re not opening five boxes just to find one colour or mould.
It also makes tidying up quicker because everything has a clear home. Less time searching, more time making.
Always have a packing station 📦
No matter how small your setup is, try to keep one area just for packing orders. It doesn’t need to be fancy, but having a dedicated space for boxes, tape, tissue and labels makes dispatch feel calmer and more professional.
